Sweat B4 U Sweat Testimonials
“Sweat B4 U Sweat is a fantastic class that helps you get fit in a sensual and innovative way. It really activates and strengthens your core with the concave and convex shapes you make through dancing and with all the ‘down low’ stuff, it’s better for your quads than a wallsit!
It combines the vigor and rigor of a high-intensity aerobic workout but gives you a cerebral workout as well, as you try to incorporate the choreography into the body moves. The music gets into your soul and I always leave class, even after a tough day at work, with the endorphins and dopamine in high gear.”

“I’ve been taking the dancehall reggae class for a few months now and absolutely love it. Kay-Ann is a great instructor who seems to have an endless supply of fun routines for us to try out each week. The class has such a great vibe and comfortable atmosphere mainly due to Kay-Ann’s ability to break down the moves and teach the class to even the most novice dancer. Each week I know I’m going to have a lot of fun, learn some new moves and work up a great sweat!”

“Kay-Ann is an AMAZING dance instructor! I’ve taken dance classes for the past 20 years and Kay-Ann’s dancehall classes are my all-time favorite! Her choreography is always fresh and her music selection is always on point- not to mention she breaks the moves down in a way that makes them accessible, even if you’ve never danced to dancehall. I have a gym membership that I never use, but I’ll never miss a dancehall class because it’s too much fun- the fact that it’s an amazing work-out is the bonus. I’m honestly addicted.”

Dance in general
“I just want to say that I have enjoyed your classes immensely. I feel much stronger and have more confidence in my technique because of the way you teach, and for that I want to thank you. I know I can continue to grow even more from here, the more I train. Thank you for pointing me in that direction. I think you are so supportive and encouraging to those who want to grow not only in dance but I think just in general too. I am inspired by your strength and determination, and your outstanding charisma when you dance. (I’ve seen some of your videos yes…lol) I not only take dance classes for the sake of dancing but to improve my skills in teaching dance as well. I hope to find more opportunities in teaching so that I can practice and I also miss it. I look forward to taking more classes with you soon.
Thanks for everything! Take care and see you soon

“I’ve always been a lover of hip hop and must say Kay-ann’s hip hop workshops are one of a kind in Toronto. Her choreography exudes a sense of urban sensuality, lady-strength and independence. She organizes her class in a timely manner giving her students the chance to attentively learn the choreography. With her solid dancehall background as well, many of her movements has a raw earthy vibe that distinguishes her in T Dot. Kay-ann’s fun-loving and generous personality makes every class an enjoyment with a great laugh. She strives to not only teach but motivates her students to challenge their own limitations as aspiring dancers.”

“I have taken many classes in my life, it would never last long with a person like me. I had such a passion to dance, however they would be either too difficult or simply too boring. I find Kay-Anns classes a perfect balance of being challenging, exciting and yet easy to follow and thorough. She is amazing. I go all the time now. I found my home. She is super creative, inspiring and patient, which makes for a wonderful dance instructor.”

“I’ve been taking classes with Kay-Ann for a couple of years now. Between dancehall reggae, hip-hop, Valentine’s Day workshops, Sweat B4 U Sweat and dance fusion, I always thoroughly enjoy the challenge of her creative choreography. The more you work with her, the more you feel the vibe and the more confident you feel. As someone who predominantly is Bolly Belly and working towards Groove Method Certification, she is an inspiration to just dance and love your own style and creativity. Thanks for your amazing classes!”

“My name is Lucy Hamlet and I am a Producer, writer/director living and working in Toronto. I have worked with Kay-Ann Ward in a number of capacities most notably she was the co-choreographer for my play Love & Movement which was produced in Toronto. Kay-Ann was instrumental in helping me realize my vision to bring the play to life. She taught a cast ranging in dance experience from novice to professional and proved to be very inspiring and motivated as a choreographer. Kay-Ann is extremely professional, punctual and is capable of working extremely well under very stressful situations. She has a a pure love for dance and is able to utilize that love as a vessel to reach those whom she teaches. Any student regardless of their capabilities would be well served with Kay-Ann Ward as their dance instructor.”

“Kay-Ann Ward is talented and creative. She utilizes the strengths of the dancers she works with and shows them in the best possible light. Her choreography is innovative, bold and powerful. Furthermore, she integrates the emotional and artistic aspects of dance in such a way that it is easy for her dancers to incorporate it into their movements. Kay-Ann’s choreography is artistic and 3 dimensional. She uses all her knowledge of dance and variety of styles to express the artist she is.
Working with Kay-Ann is always a pleasure, her creativity inspires me. Also, her rehearsals are well planned and she makes excellent use of time.
Kay-Ann’s professional work ethic makes collaborations easy. I certainly hope to work with Kay-Ann on future projects and I highly recommended her as a professional dance artist and choreographer.”
